I'm 29, bespectacled, and rotund. I love dogs and tea. I prefer conversation to a noisy bar. I think laughing is the best feeling in the world. I write well, paint badly, and read less than I would like.

So far I have only surfed, but when I have a suitable space I plan to pay it forward and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a hostee twice, and roomed with people who have hosted twice. These were all positive experiences. I think couchsurufing fosters cultural understanding, and is a force of good in the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the Merchant Marine for two years, and during my morning break one day I walked to the bow of my ship and looked down. There were dozens of wild dolphins swimming and playing in the bubble of pressure formed in front of the bulb of our ship, and dozens more rushing towards us from every direction to have their turn. They were there to play, and for no other reason.

Teach, Learn, Share

To share: British comedy is something I'm completely immersed in. I own dozens of dvds and I've introduced many American friends to what's going on in comedy in the UK.
To learn: If you are passionate about something, I want to hear about it. I've never encountered someone who was truly fascinated by a particular subject who couldn't make it interesting.
