I would describe myself as easygoing, optimistic, happy person who tends to go with the flow, always in peace without worrying too much.
I love backpacking a lot since my first taste of it back in 2010 in Central America when I traveled together with a few buddies I met from a volunteer expedition and my solo travel afterwards.
Recently I have just moved from Hong Kong to New York City.
I also love animals and enjoy the nature. It was such a pity that I can't keep my own cats or dogs because I lived with my family and they don't allow that.
Everything happens for a good reason, even those not-so-good things in life. You may not understand it now, but remain positive and later on you will appreciate it!
Always stay positive and happy, remember to SMILE no matter what, the best is yet to come!
Discovering and appreciating the beauty in the smallest thing in life.
Living a simple lifestyle and striking a good balance between enjoying life and minimizing the resources I take and use.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
though I can't host, I am up for a coffee or exploring the NYC together. Hopefully very soon I will be able to host.
And I am always up for being a surfer.
I had such an amazing experience couchsurfing with my hosts in Montreal and Quebec City! I just love them so much!
Recently I found myself falling in love with cooking and grocery shopping. And it is just the right timing that I started my new lacto-ovo-vegetarian life! I am loving it! It is so great experimenting with all those new and exotic ingredients! I definitely enjoy my new little adventure in the kitchen!
I am in love with photography, though not with those professional DSLR, but with my little DC during my travel and with my adorable iPhone everyday.
I love just wandering around anywhere randomly during my free time to explore the New York City, my new city. And feeling the vibes and atmosphere in different neighborhoods. And I always find something interesting on my way. Sometimes it's just a tiny little flower in the park, sometimes it's a wall full of graffiti, sometimes it's a nice little community garden...
or just sitting down with a cup of coffee and doing some people-watch from the Time Square to any parks or anywhere.
I am in love with traveling, especially backpacking, when I can meet a lot of different and fantastic people. Seeing and experiencing loads of interesting cultures and things on the road.
I am also very into the Enneagram, a personality system that is so accurate and complete in describing all aspects of personality of all people.
Recently, I love watching improv shows a lot as well as learning to dance salsa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a walkaholic day of exploring NYC with my friend. We walked around the neighborhoods of Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, Tribeca, Financial District, took the ferry and walked in Staten Island downtown, then back and walked all the way back up to Greenwich and West village, Chelsea, Highline Park, Times Square and Bryant Park. We took the subway only once for the whole day back to Lower East Side.
Volunteering with Raleigh International for a 10-week expedition in Costa Rica and Nicaragua is definitely one of the top picks! I met loads of interesting friends, did the hardest trek ever in my life, seen toucans and scarlet marcaw in the wild, lived with Nicaraguans in the remote village, learnt about their culture, and learnt how to master the shovels and dig trenches.
Another top pick would be wandering around in Antigua, Guatemala and trying out the street food with my new friend met on the travel. It was just awesome to stay and explore such a beautiful city together while getting to know one from a different culture from the other side of the world.
Another one highlights in my life would be the festival in Todos Santos of Guatemala, where all men dressed in the same blue strip shirts and red strip pants, people and the horses both got drunken and then we had horse race! It was crazy yet lots of fun, seeing the drunken horse-riders falling down from the horses!
