Hello everyone! CURRENT MISSION: To travel to new places, meet some amazing people, fulfill my dreams, stay present, and learn some things about myself and life along the way. My name is Sarai and I am Mexican-Guatemalan American. I come from a family of six and growing up, I was exposed to various cultures and introduced to life in all of its dimensions. As a result, I became curious of the world around me and the knowledge it has to offer and therefore, I sought to travel the world one day and now here I am. :) I am a full-time student at a local community college and I am studying Communications. As for work, I commit full-time at a family diner as an assistant cook. I have a passion for foreign languages and cultures. My goal is to become fluent in Korean and Portuguese and possibly learn other ones along the way. I also hope to volunteer in the Peace Corps, become a U.S. Air National Guard, and possibly have a profession as a translator, creative director, and graphic designer. NOTE: During this time, I am unavailable to host any travelers.

I enjoy watching anime and Asian dramas from time to time. If you have any recommendations, let me know! I am an avid reader, therefore I have many favorite stories. A few books to mention are Kafka on the Shore, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Pride and Prejudice, The Throne of Glass series, Anne of Green Gables series, Eleanor and Park, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Please Look After Mom, and the Bible.

For almost three years, I saved up all of my money and took on many jobs in order to buy myself a plane ticket to my dream destination. No regrets. :)

Teach - I'm willing to share any knowledge I possess, just ask me anything! I can introduce you about the American life and its culture, and about the Latino community. I can also teach you some English and Spanish phrases and words. Learn - I believe that everybody is created differently, and everybody has a story to tell from the perspective of their different backgrounds and experiences. I would also love to learn about your talents and skills and that you can teach me some things about them. I am open and willing to learn!
