Overview
About Me
I was raised by a special needs high school teacher and an artist, in a large Italian/Swedish family. We lived in the Lake Tahoe area and spent our free time outdoors or pursuing creative endeavors. For me that was specifically dance, photography and music.
My mom loved opening our home to people to share food, music and stories. She had this ability to see the gold in everyone and encouraged us to do the same.
In Jr. High I started traveling every summer on trips aimed at bring aid to impoverished communities. Our teams would help build homes, work in soup kitchens, play with kids in orphanages and anything else needed. These trips gave me a love for seeing the world, expanding my perspective and being apart of things bigger than my immediate community.
I went to college for marketing and then worked at a financial firm doing marketing and events, while planning weddings, shooting photography and volunteering with various organizations working to end human trafficking.
This last year my husband and I moved to Oregon to work for a year so we could travel internationally in 2017.
It's hard to describe who you are in a short profile box but basically I love learning, seeing new places and getting to know people.
