Overview
About Me
A wandering soul, I found roots in Maine, after a childhood in Belgium and youth in Québec. After travelling in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Senegal and Europe, I founded a land-based collective in the US, before now living in an urban housing coop. I work as an interpreter for asylum seekers speaking French or Portuguese.
I'm a life-lover, go-getter, communication-obsessed, hip-mama, friendship-soaker human beaming.
***
Four years ago, I moved back home, to Sherbrooke in Quebec, where I was teaching French to immigrants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have hosted my fair share of couch-surfers back in the days... And I have fond memories of everyone who came through.
Now I need to have the favour returned, as I am in Italy, mostly visiting my aunt, but also wanting to travel around a bit with my daughter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I gave birth to both of my children at home, surrounded by my friends, without medical assistance of any kind. The birth of my son is part of a documentary movie about birth around the world called "Le premier cri" (The First Cry) taht was premiered in Paris in 2007.

I can certainly prepare a meal to share.
