Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Sarhan, i’m Persian , but based in Baku and currently working as a flight attendant. My job takes me around the world, and it has taught me how powerful it is to connect with people from different backgrounds.
I’m an open-minded, respectful, and curious person who enjoys deep conversations just as much as random fun moments. I’m passionate about learning languages (currently working on my Spanish, Italian and Chinese ), exploring cultures, and understanding human behavior—I'm a big fan of psychology too.
I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading books, and discovering local food wherever I go. I'm also into personal development, and I love picking up small habits that make life better.
I'm new to Couchsurfing but really excited to be part of this global community. Whether it's sharing a meal, a story, or just a walk through your city—I'm all in for authentic, human connections.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a flight attendant, I travel a lot, but I’ve realized that the best memories aren’t made in tourist spots—they’re made through the people I meet along the way. I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to connect with locals, share cultures, and experience places through real human interaction.
I believe this platform is more than just finding a place to sleep—it's about exchanging stories, learning from each other, and making the world feel a little smaller and friendlier. Whether it’s grabbing coffee, cooking a meal together, or just talking about life, I’m here for those meaningful moments.
Music, Movies, and Books
I’m definitely a bit melancholic when it comes to music—I love anything that hits emotionally or catches me in the moment. That said, I’m a huge fan of Lady Gaga and Sia—their energy, emotion, and uniqueness always speak to me.
I enjoy movies and series that make you think, feel, or escape. Some of my favorites include:
Into the Wild
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Inception
Fight Club
The Intouchables
Her
Also a big fan of shows like Elite, Scam, and anything with a mix of drama, mystery, or psychological depth. I enjoy a good documentary from time to time too.
I’m into psychology, self-improvement, and real-life experiences. I’ve really enjoyed books like:
The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
Atomic Habits – James Clear
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F** – Mark Manson
Man’s Search for Meaning – Viktor Frankl
How to Win Friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie
How to Stop Worrying and Start Living – Dale Carnegie
I’m always open to new recommendations, especially those that help with communication, mindset, or language learning.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I became a flight attendant and started seeing the world—not just as a tourist, but through the eyes of locals and passengers from all walks of life. One of the most unforgettable moments was flying into a new country for the first time, not knowing anyone, and ending up sharing stories over tea with a stranger who became a lifelong friend. It's amazing how travel connects people in unexpected ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basic phrases in Russian or Azerbaijani , share tips about being a flight attendant, and give you insight into different cultures I’ve experienced. I also enjoy helping people improve their communication skills and mindset—I’ve read a lot about psychology and personal growth.
I’m always open to learning something new—from cooking local dishes and picking up phrases in other languages to discovering new music or hearing unique life stories. I’m especially interested in learning more Spanish, as I’m working on becoming fluent.
I’d love to share good conversation, music, laughs, and maybe even a workout if you're up for it! I’m always happy to swap travel stories, cook together, or just enjoy the simple things—like a walk, tea, or watching a movie.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good company, respectful energy, and meaningful conversations. I love listening to people’s stories and sharing mine—from funny moments in the air to cultural insights I’ve picked up along the way as a flight attendant.
If you're into languages, I’d be happy to help you with Russian or Azerbaijani, or we can practice English or Spanish together. I’m also happy to help cook something simple, bring snacks from my travels, or just enjoy a relaxed moment over coffee or tea.
Most of all, I try to bring good vibes, kindness, and appreciation to every place I stay. For me, it’s not just about having a place to sleep—it's about exchanging something real
