CURRENT MISSION

Travel, work, visit friends all over the world, soak up different cultures. RIght now living in a small town in England and only renting a room so I'm not able to host.

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly person, I like to laugh a lot. Quite dependent on having kind-hearted people around me. I studied English and I'm a bit of a language nerd so talking to people from different cultural backgrounds is my big passion.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed all over! First Budapest on a 4-day backpacking trip, a few days in Dublin after a summer spent on a farm in the West of Ireland. Also stayed with Jennifer in NYC, who was incredibly nice to me. With my friend Katarina, I stayed with Stephanie in Paris in 2017 and then did a roadtrip around the South of England in 2018 - all with the help of the CS community. Everyone I have met so far has been very welcoming and given us tips on how to get places, what to do, see, or eat. I have only nice words for all of my hosts, they make my trips truly memorable!

兴趣

Travelling is top. Learning new languages, dialects or accents goes with that. Otherwise I am a passionate theatre-goer. I am hooked on quality music and the 60's have had a special place in my heart.
I've played various musical instruments all my life, the last one was the beautiful alto saxophone. A walk in a forest or a bike ride are also ideal plans for a nice afternoon. And I love swing dancing. I found out that it makes me smile and gives me energy :)

Books - I'm not an avid reader (sadly), I prefer movies but these are some books that have been special for me for various reasons: The Catcher in the Rye, Pride and Prejudice, Animal Farm, Memoirs of a Geisha, Snow Falling on Cedars, Of Mice and Men
Movies - Pelíšky (a must-see Czech movie), Kolja (another one), Forrest Gump, The Graduate, Once, Star Wars, Love Actually, I love older Czech movies and 90s and early 2000s animated movies (some of them I can retell by heart)

Worked on an organic farm in Ireland with no previous experience.
Biked on the Golden Gate Bridge.

I can share travel stories and talk about the Czech Republic. Also teach a few challenging Czech words ;)
I want to learn what people think about the world, life,... I want to broaden my outlook and by pondering different views and opinions I hear become a better person :)
