Hey there! I’m Sarra — a curious soul who’s been caught up in the rhythm of work for a while, but lately, I’ve felt this strong pull to slow down a little, explore, and live more freely. I’m currently based in Algiers, working in the pharmaceutical industry, and while I truly enjoy what I do, I realized I’ve been missing that spontaneous side of life — the one that comes with discovering a new city, meeting people from different backgrounds, and learning from their stories.

Istanbul has been on my list for a long time — not just for its culture and beauty, but because it feels like the perfect place to reconnect with that sense of adventure and human warmth. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lately, I’ve been feeling the need to travel more and connect with people in a genuine way — not just visit places, but actually experience them through the eyes of locals. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to do that — to share stories, culture, and everyday life beyond the usual tourist path.

My next destination is Istanbul, from the end of December until the beginning of January, for about a week. I’ve always wanted to experience the city’s atmosphere, its mix of history and modern life, and especially how it feels during New Year’s Eve.
