About Me

Hi, My name is Sarut (or Pai as a nickname) from Thailand. I am now currently living in Tokyo, Japan, as a master student of Tokyo institute of technology.

I am keen on experiencing new things and travelling to explore what I have not seen/tried before. Exchanging experience with and getting connected to new people in order to have friends throughout the world are my dream. I love and believe that talking to new people having so many different interesting perspectives and backgrounds from different countries will help me expand and shape my own perspective or what I have believed in hopefully something better . You not only gain experience from your own travels but you can also learn from talking with one who experiences before too.

Being an utterly easy-going , extremely flexible, and really broad-minded, I can accept any people's perspective and personality as well as any place to stay. I am not a serious person and this is how easy I am: words that I always say when I travel are "anything is fine anywhere is fine" as long as I am going to get to see a lot more of the world.

I am a tennis player and have won 2 national champions in Thailand when I was 16 years old. I started playing tennis from 7 years old and still play for my healthy purpose until now. I play with My Professor in Tokyo Tech once a week since he really like to play with me, which I hope I can get closer to my professor.

I really love eating food and I want to try and cook food from different cuisines. Traditional food is the must one I need to try when I travel to wherever, and locals are important to guide us due to the best known food of their regions.

I always respect and follow rules when I visit other countries so you should not worry about this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am trying to travel a lot more and more and to save spending as much as possible at the same time, I decide to participate in Couchsurfing which is able to provide such opportunities.

Moreover, Couchsurfing also helps me expand my connection with other travellers and locals !! which is interesting experience and I would love to do it !! This is how it works; for example, when I was in my hometown, I always let my friends from abroad stay in my house. On the other hand, when I go to their places, they also let me stay in their places. This is why connection is viral for travellers like us. Of course, if you have an opportunity to come to my city later, I can also take care for your accommodation!

I am really new here on Couchsurfing and I need your guides/tricks/advices from you. I hope I will be lucky enough to get the chance in the near future. I will definitely forward my experience I gain to old friends and new people who I will meet and use that experience for my future travelling and hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my life. I was a singer for my faculty in Chiang Mai university so this will always be a passion of mine. I like all kinds of music since I found that they have their own charms in each kind. I also wrote a song with my friends and record it. You can watch a music video in the following link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4iBmt4tjK8.

I love to watch unrealistic movies such as super hero movie ans sci-fi. However, I tend to watch movies with a good story that has various emotions together with moral values like one movie called "Train to Busan".

Now. I am try to finish one Novel, a game of thrones. Mostly, I just read manga and never finish reading novel before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love voluntary work and one of that is working with a voluntary organisation called Engineers Without Borders, Cal Poly, American, to implement facilities such as water filtration systems as well as renovate a more safer solar house in one community located on a hill mountain in the northern part of Thailand . My involvement in this organisation has helped me grow in so many ways that I don't even know where to start. I love seeing people from the community and my work mates smile due to my help, which push me to have a passion to continue doing this kind of work. I really hope to continue this work in the future.

I also hope I will have done another amazing thing through Couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

- Since I have won 2 tennis champions in a Thai national level, I can teach you how to play tennis.
- I can share a lot of my travel stories back home and abroad, what should/should't do and I would like to learn the same from those I meet abroad.
- We can share life issues together and fine solutions to that together through our experience.
-I can teach you how to cook Thai food since I am now also doing my part time job in a Thai restaurant.
- I can play guitar and sing so that will be really fun playing together.
- I welcome everyone to my hometown in the future when I go back.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I mentioned, I love to exchange both good and bad experience in any topic and also would like to learn the same from those I meet abroad, especially with some glasses of beer if we have a chance. I have so many jokes to share, specially when it comes to alcohol, and I think you will definitely love to hear them. I am not a serious person at all and I appreciate to any kind of opinions. We can also enjoy singing with I playing a guitar if you like. My cooking skills for Thai food is interesting as well and I can share those for you. I am sure there will be much more than this when we get connected, especially connection for future.
