About Me

Hi! :-)

In September 2022 I finished my degree, saved up some money and decided to travel through SE Asia! I visited Thailand, Lao, Cambodia and Indonesia. Unfortunately I was running out of money so spontaneous I applied for a WHV visa for Australia. Well.. I ended up 1 year in Australia and could save some money for some new still unknown plans. xD So randomly I decided Japan will be my next destination. I will stay in Kyoto from April 2024 until April 2025 and will visit a language school. :-)

I love getting to know new people, cultures, and places. But most of all, I love trying out food. I eat almost everything! Haha :-D

My instagram also shows who I am. I love to record videos!😁👍🏽

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not particularly interested in doing very touristy things. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to get closer to foreign cultures and customs. I want to find out how people are doing in other places in the world, what they do, what they eat, what they do for work. That interests me a lot. I like learning new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Colombia, I wanted to visit the famous El Peñol, near to Medellin. Unfortunately, this day was a holiday and it was very busy. My bus arrived 3 hours later and it was no longer possible to visit El Peñol. :-(

I was hungry and bought an arepa with cheese. Then a Colombian family noticed me and they asked me a lot of questions. Unfortunately I can't speak Spanish. Yes I was in Colombia without knowing Spanish. HAHA

So we communicated with Translator and they understood what kind of situation I was in. They offered me their friendship and even gave me a bracelet. They offered to take me back to the hostel. Meanwhile, we stopped by car and ate street food and laughed a lot together.

It was a wonderful experience and I am still in contact with the Colombian family to this day. :-)
