Overview
About Me
I am an identical twin. During senior school my brother used to take all my french exams for me.
Current occupation: fulbrighter, German language teaching assistant at St. Mary's College of Maryland (Aug '18 - May '19).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My twin brother and I used to host surfers frequently. Apart from all the fun it was, it has always been wonderful to meet people from all over the world, get out of one's cultural comfort zone and learn about other people's perspectives on the world.
As a guest, I hope I can bring this "a piece of the world at visit" feeling to hosts' places!
Interests
Definitely listening to/making music, particularly (German) rap music.
Other than that, I play (Beach)Volleyball. Feeling sand under my feet and feeling exhausted but happy after a couple of sets... great!
Food, food, food... and trying out all kinds of beer I don't know yet.
Music, Movies, and Books
(German) Rap music has taken me over looong ago. Yet, I also know to appreciate a nice piece of classic music, for instance. It's all about cherishing that there are so many different genres of music.
Disney's "Mulan" is an absolutely fantastic movie! Hilarious comedy, wonderful message!
I like to read detective novels. "An Officer and a Spy" by Robert Harris is one of the books I really liked.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bus tour through the Highlands. You will find a great photo among my pictures.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a super easy receipe for a great bread! Better than 95% of the "bread" you find in the U.S.
According to my mother I should still learn how to eat pasta with tomatoe sauce without smearing the sauce all around my mouth.
I'd love to share a beer with you!
