Gardening, dogs, wildlife care, hiking and hugs are all very good things :) I enjoy conversations that last hours, feel like minutes and cover a wide range of opinions and information. Not tooooo much of a drinker but always up for a dance. Travelling to learn, learning to accept humanity lovingly with all its warts.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Because although hostels are cheap and comfortable, I prefer to know the real people of the places I visit. Some of my most amazing friends are people who hosted me. Couchsurfers for a few days, friends for a lifetime. There's no better way to feel immersed in the location and the very best way to be shown a new town.
Please help me learn Spanish!

Music, I find it an incredibly emotive thing along with nature. I am a photographer, artistic contemporary and nature/travel stuff. But maybe that's just an excuse for having some kind of direction. I like layed back evenings with friends, chilled out bars or good alternative live music, getting naked an great parties and glitter. Music, food, learning, hiking, dancing, getting lost.

I stayed with a host in China when I first arrived. Coming from Perth I'm very accustomed to having a lot of sunny days. I didn't see the sun in China for the first 9 days, which did make it difficult for me to feel happy. My Couchsurfing host must have noticed my glumness, because he said something beautiful to me:
"When the sky is grey and the sun doesn't shine, let it shine from inside you."
It was the cutest.
