I was born and grew up in Mauritius, where I had an amazing childhood, surrounded by loving family and beautiful beaches. I moved to Australia with my parents and siblings when I was 16, and finished high school there.
From there I did certificates in Maritime Tourism and Travel.
I then started working, but never went more then 6 months without going somewhere!

I'm a pretty laid back person, a bit shy of nature, but I often try to compensate for it, by laughing too loud or making silly jokes!

Marc was born and bred in Perth, Australia. After finishing school, he did an apprenticeship in Fabrication (Ship Building) and kept working in the same company until I told him that there was more to life than working, building a house and retiring!
He's a very laid back person, easy to get along with!

Marc and I are going travelling indefinitely, and we think that the best way to get to know a country is to meet the people! We love sharing stories, and would love to learn the ins-and-outs of the different places we discover!

Interessen

I love dancing, though I'm not as good as I'd like to be! If I hear something with a good beat, I will automatically start moving!

I also enjoy a good book, that makes me want to keep reading it through the night. I could easily spend a week just reading, if the book is good enough.

Being outdoors is one of our greatest pleasures. We haven't had many hiking/trekking experiences, but we love the idea of discovering the nature side of a country. We've been camping many times when in Australia, both on the beach and in the bush!

Marc has always enjoyed four-wheel-driving, always finding a way to improve his car's performance off-road.

He can also watch/talk about sports all day, from Australia Football to moto GP, an interest he gets from his father.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like all sorts of music types, as long as it has a good beat so I can dance to it!

I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre, when it comes to literature. I love escaping to magical worlds like Harry Potter's or Eragon's. I do enjoy a good crime story, though I must admit, I haven't read one in a long time!

When it comes to movies, a few of my favorites are Avatar, Mrs Doubtfire, Hook.. and if anyone suggests a Disney movie, I'll be running to the couch in no time!

Marc loves action movies, doesn't read much (I say he hasn't found the right book yet), and can listen to anything that is not boy-band related.
