About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have the adventure of a lifetime for a lifetime

ABOUT ME

My name is Sasha and now that I've graduated from high school I'm ready to travel the world. I was born in Toronto and lived there my whole life. I'm an avid cyclist and did a lot of canoeing and hiking while growing up. I've wanted to travel ever since I was a little kid and when I was seventeen I did my first solo backpacking trip through western Europe before my senior year of high school during the summer of 2009. The trip was a month long and I visited Madrid, Barcelona, Montpellier, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam and London. I like to think of that summer as an introduction to a life of travelling I want to live.

In February of 2011 I backpacked in Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine & Israel before heading to London where I stayed for a couple months. That was the time of my life and after staying at home in Canada for most of 2012 (with the exception of spending may in California) I'm ready for another adventure this time starting with a flight to Mumbai.

PHILOSOPHY

Never put invisible barriers in front of yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like couch surfing because it adds a whole new element to backpacking where you not only get to see a city but you can see it from the perspective of someone who lives there and see the way they live their life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deserts always leave me awestruck and I love seeing them. Snorkeling along a coral reef was totally out of this world. Every time I get out of an airport and feel the air and smell the smells of a new place.
