Hi my name is Saskia, im 23 years old and I'm studying social work and I'm passionated about exploring the world. I have already done internships in alternative school systems in Germany as well as an internship working with refugees.
I have my own horse and try to spend as much time as possible with "Orion" with our family dog. I'm more of an outside person and love activities of all kinds. And I'm an animal person (If you haven't guessed already).
But I also like cooking with friends and enjoying a glass of wine along with it (maybe even a couple more ...) and I like good parties.
Also, I need a decent coffee in the morning to cure my hang over or just get me going.

I really want to get to know other cultures and worldviews as I think it can only help me working with different people and backgrounds in work later. My sister did Couchsurfing before me, and I visited her while she had a couchsurfing guest. We had such an interesting and fun time explaining our cultural habits, cooking and just becoming friends, that I would like to experiencing more often.

Interests

My horse usually comes first. I love everything that goes with it. It lives in the countryside outside of the village my parents live in, and I even enjoy getting up in the morning to feed it and enjoy the sunrise there.
The second best thing about those mornings is the coffee that follows. And our dog. He accompanies me during the day and I will cuddle with him at least ten times a day.
I also enjoy a good book, right know I'm really interested in what influences toddlers, babies and kids while growing up.
During the winter my family loves to go skiing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I loved the Harry Potter Books, Nicholas Sparks, The fault in our own stars

Movies: 3 Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel, Frozen, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them,

Music: mainly electronical (german Klangtherapie is my favorite Festival), even though I start to listen to older generation german HipHop, I used to be into Alternative Rock/Indie as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I lived in Berlin for two years working at an elementary school that isn't a public school and teaches in a different way (similar to Waldorf, if you have heard of it)
- Traveled the US west coast with my sister
- raised my horse from the very birth

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about horse back riding, not necessarily how to train a dog though (he is just slightly spoilt), also about how the early childhood experiences will have an effect on the personality and behavior of a person

I would love to learn how to cook local foods, surfing and the basics of your language, maybe you have also good travel tips for me

I share with you my tidiness and help, also my humor and smiles
