About Me

NOTE: I can currently not host anyone since I will travel myself. until the 7th of May

CURRENT MISSION
Trying to make a living with the things I love (aren’t we all ;-))
Preparing for adventures to come.

ABOUT ME
I am easy going, can get pretty crazy when I’m comfortable, up for new stuff if it’s good stuff. I tend to not go for the ’normal’ way whatever that means. I tend to try to be the glue that brings people together which is a trait that more woman have had before me. But I like to think I am also strong enough to stand up for what I think needs to be stood up against. Well I try at least :-)
I don’t like violence, gossip, indifference.
I like to be physical ( dancing, yoga, outdoorsy stuff) as much as possible but end up spending too much time sitting behind a stupid screen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, new places, their stories and broaden my world.

Interests

I enjoy nature, spending long days on the beach, catamaran sailing, house parties with friends, dancing.
I have studied music, and will always love that. I am teach singing, and am very interested in how the body works. How the body and mind are connected. Techniques like yoga, meditation and Alexander Technique are part of exploring that for me.
Besides that I am curious about philosophy and the connection between the divine (experienced in music, nature , religion etc) and the touchable, earthly. In my experience spirituality can be one of the most down-to-earth things. But as long as you don’t give me a spliff I won’t necessarily talk bout this kind of stuff ;-) Unless you’re also interested which would be awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books

Having studied jazz (which seems to mean something else for everyone) I like a bit of challenging music. Improvisation, weird stuff :-) But I am really not that difficult and like a lot of types of music. As long as there is something in there that captures me.
I like movies but am in no means a movie-freak.
Books: I would love to read more but for now the favorites are: "one hundred years of solitude” and „the unbearable lightness of being” and „Atlas shrugged”.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2014 on a trip to Spitsbergen on a sailing yacht. My boyfriend was the skipper on the yacht and I got to come along. We went as high as 79° north. It’s a different world up there! We’ve experienced the midnight sun which resulted in people having breakfast at 11 PM :-)
The most amazing moment was cruising next to a glacier wall. ( Not very different from what we’ve seen on Game of Thrones, but then coming up from the water ) The weather was perfect and there were a million sparkles and icebergs floating in the bluegreen water. The colors and shapes of the glacier are indescribable and so beautiful and grand. When you come closer you see that it’s even bigger than you imagined. Your sense for proportion gets all distorted with this epic stuff around. Standing there I definitely had to let a few tears run from just taking in all the splendor.
Afterwards we celebrated with some aquavit on the rocks. Thousands of years old glacier ice that is :-) The shape is very organic and it melts in beautiful shapes.

Another thing I have done, which was the most challenging thing I have done until now, is moving to Oslo, Norway without any set plan, place to stay, or people that I knew. I wanted to start completely blank. It showed me that if you just go for it remarkable things can happen! After 5 days I found a room in Villa Gjøa, located in the forest, next to sea, not far out of Oslo. I was so lucky to be able to live at this amazing spot for 1,5 years and meet my boyfriend there.
