About Me

I would call myself a "Naturalist", someone who I always dreamt to be and I am trying very hard to be one :)

Currently a student at the University of East Anglia, I am studying International Masters in Applied Ecology (IMAE) through Erasmus Mundus. As part of my course, I will be studying ecology in France, Ecuador, Germany and UK.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Born and and brought up to an agricultural family, in a tiny village next to a forest in India. I grew up watching birds, tigers, and other wildlife. This interest then later lead me to travel to various regions in search of elusive wildlife, that in turn introduced me to the local human community of that place.

I strongly believe that, the true life of a country lies in the hearts of local people and in the shadows of the plants, animals and wildlife of the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love Blues, Jazz, John Denver, country music and anything before 90s ;) and few new songs ;)

I love reading adventure books, travel books and exploration related books :) and of course "anything related to wildlife"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ah... this is a bit difficult..

One amazing thing that I have done would be to "Follow my dreams to become a naturalist and a wildlife conservationist".

Teach, Learn, Share

Having a black Belt in Okinawa and Shotokan Karate, I teach Karate to students of various age groups, including 'Blind Students'.

I love learning, so I take opportunity to learn from everyone... "trying very hard to be a master in rock climbing now". I especially love to learn about the wildlife of a new area and how the community lives along with it :)

Sharing stories :) and whatever I learnt

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hahaha... Okay, so if I want to sell my usefulness to someone... I would say... "I would love to spend some time with you to have a conversation about 'life' and it's experiences... I will definitely ask you to join me on a long walk to watch birds and wildlife.... Possibly cook something ;) and share all my 'Jungle Stories' with tigers, elephants, hunters and mountains.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bhutan, Nepal, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sri Lanka

Countries I’ve Lived In
