I am a 27 year old PhD student at the KU Leuven and working at Johnson & Johnson..I live just about 200 m from the centre of Ghent. I am food, beer and wine enthusiast..I love cooking. I absolutely love travelling and meeting wonderful new people. If I have time, I would love to show you around the city, help you dive into the immense pleasure of having a Belgian beer, and maybe a taste from my kitchen.

I say I can host 3 people, but that’s a bit tight, if you are a couple or if you don’t mind sharing beds with your friends/travelmates we could fit more, or if you have sleeping bags, more are welcome as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an avid reader, my favourite authours being Ken Follet, Arthur Hailey, Gabriel Garca Marquez. I am recently venturing into non-fiction and reading a lot of political history.

Music, I cannot say I enjoy a particular type of music. I like music, but if you ask me which artist you like I am a bit lost. I basically like (most of) the stuff that comes on the radio. After moving to Europe, western classical music has also interested me quiet a bit.

Movies, I do watch a lot of movies. I especially like to watch movies in different languages (just because i am an indian doesnt make me a proponent of bollywood :P). I love Ingmar Berman, Vittorio de Sica, and ofcourse Tarantino movies, my favourites being The Bicycle Thief, The Bridge on River Kwai, Shawshank Redemption, 12 Angry Men, Schindlers List, Pianist, etc.
I absolutely HATE horror, gives me nightmare for weeks.. :P
