I am an undergrad in Alaska, who is currently studying in France. I haven't had the chance to travel very much, but now that I'm here I want every bit I can get my hands on. The world is a big place and the more I travel the more I find out about me. Before I die, I'd like to have a pretty good idea who I am!

I think Couchsurfing is a really fantastic tool for the community and for travelers in general, because it gives you perspective and help in countries you might not know well. I love art and I think life is a form of art that needs to be experienced and I don't think an empty wallet should stop you.

I like all kinds of music. I listen to whatever I'm feeling at the moment. But, you can never go wrong with jazz. I mostly read textbooks at the moment, but If I get the chance to choose I'll always pick comedic novels. My favorite is "Damned" by Chuck Palahniuk. I will always watch "Pride and Prejudice", the one with Keira Knightley. I'm a sucker for Marvel or DC. DC's "Wonder Woman" was awesome, even though her hair would never stay that perfect.

I came to France not knowing any French, I did a full immersion and although its one of the scariest things I have ever done I regret nothing.
