About Me

Howdy y’all! My name is Savannah Rose, and I’m a 20-year-old Canadian-Peruvian dual national studying law in London, England. I believe that our purpose in life is to connect with other people, which is why I’ve decided to try couch surfing! My biggest joy is travelling and learning more about different cultures and histories. I am passionate, adventurous, kind and super flexible! Have a fantastic day, and I hope we can connect :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect with more people around the world and learn more about the day-to-day life of people who live in places I don’t! Living by myself, away from home, has also been difficult, as I come from a very involved Latino family, so I always cherish cohabiting with someone else when I can :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Top three movies: Forest Gump, Catch Me If You Can, The Sixth Sense (I like Tom Hanks if you can’t tell).
Music: I will listen to anything! I love expanding my music taste, and I try and add at least one song recommended to me by locals everywhere I travel to! That being said, my favourite songs right now are Let's Go To Bed by The Cure, Escape by Destroy Boys, The Fate of Ophelia by Taylor Swift, Andrew in Drag by the Magnetic Fields and Evidências by Chitãozinho & Xororó.
Books: The Disappeared by Kim Echlin, The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, and I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel so blessed to have experienced so many amazing things throughout my life. Some of my highlights include spending a week in silence at a Thai Monastery, experiencing a thunderstorm in the desert, seeing whales breach in Costa Rica, and learning about medicinal trees and plants from Indigenous communities in the Amazon Rainforest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love conversations about religion, politics, new scientific discoveries, travelling, etc. I can honestly talk about anything, and I really enjoy conversation :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share travel stories and insights into Canadian culture! I consider myself a clean person and I always clean up after myself. I’m great with kids and I go to bed early.
