ABOUT ME

I'm a music industry/recording arts student at CSU Chico. I absolutely love music! I listen to a lot of pop music: synth-pop, electro-pop, guitar-pop, whatever. I love discovering new musicians and artists from abroad, which is what prompted my studies in Sweden. I'm currently studying Swedish in Sweden and loving every moment of it.

When I'm not at home I'm usually hanging out with friends. I'm down for a night out with drinks and dancing, or a night in with board games or movies. I enjoy spending time outdoors and LOVE bicycling. I'm always happy to go on bike rides through the park or just hang out on the park lawn reading a book or playing frisbee.

I'm a poor college student, so I don't live too lavishly, but I like sharing what I have with my friends.

I am also a diabetic with Celiacs Disease, so sometimes I have a strange diet (sometimes verging on vegetarianism). But I know all the good places in town to get gluten-free food!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to participate in the Couch Surfing world, but I'm planning to do a bit of traveling after my studies in Sweden. I hope to meet lots of fantastic new people and see a few corners of the world that I may not have known existed.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a huge part of my life. I prefer pop music with electronic influences, but I'm willing to give other genres a chance. I'm not ashamed to admit that I like a lot of cheesy pop artists.

I played the mandolin for three years, though I am completely useless with it now. I'd love to get started playing again if I could find someone to practice with (and to encourage me to keep playing).

I like watching movies with friends but I don't have a favorite genre. Funny is always good. Though, I refuse to watch any kind of scary movie. I'm just too chicken!

I love a good book and tend to read mostly fiction. I love C.S. Lewis and also enjoy Ian Rankin's detective novels.
