Overview
About Me
I love the outdoors and most associated activities: biking, camping, hiking, climbing, kayking, etc. I'm an especially avid cyclist, and have recently started doing long, multi-day bike tours or bikepacking trips. I'm a student at the University of Tennessee studying political science and economics. I'm a big follower of the Tennessee Vols, especially for basketball, which we are horrible at... I love to travel and I'm trying to get out to do and see more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm involved with a similar site, Warmshower.org, whcih provides accomidations to people travelling via bicycle, but I'm looking for places to stay when I'm traveling by more traditional means. I've had great expereince as a host and a guest through warm showers and I hope to have similar experiences here on couchsurfer.
Interests
As I mentioned above, I love the outdoors, especially biking. I also really enjoy reading, movies, theater, and, though it sounds strange to many, going to school. as of late I've also been trying my hand at woodworking, and I have produced a couple tables and chairs.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie tends to be the most recent good movie I've seen, but if I had to select an all time favorite it would be Good Will Hunting.
I listen to a lot of music mostly indie type bands, such as Tv on the Radio, Twin Peaks, Twin Shadows, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and other bands like this. Being from Tennessee though, I also have an affinity for bluegrass and folk
I love to read, but I'm also a very picky reader. My favorite book is The Stranger by Albert Camus. I also enjoy J.D. Salinger, John Steinbeck, and Ray Bradburry, among others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently completed my longest bike tour to date. I rode from Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA. It took me 8 consecutive days of riding and covered over 530 miles. Earlier in the year some friends and I took a roadtrip through the southwest United States that ended at the Grand Canyon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to get the local experience wherever I go, so I try and learn as much as possible from the people who host me. I enjoy sharing stories and travel experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd be happy to help with household chores or walk dogs or whatever else needs to be done. I'd also like to take my host out for a meal or a drink.
