About Me

I've had a chance to travel a bit thanks to my parents who've taught/been academics in different parts of the world but to be honest I am a bit of an inhibited traveller, sometimes getting stuck in my comfort zone and needing to push myself to explore.

This aspect of inhibitions probably goes beyond just travelling :P
And that's probably why I am talking about the most cliched thing here, travelling ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think its a really interesting idea. I like the ethos of the community, that everyone's interest is in travelling, meeting other people and getting to know about life in different parts of the world.

Oh and! I probably want to change the quality in the second paragraph of the 'About Me' section, yes pain of cross-referring intended, curses accepted ;)

Interests

I like sport in general, my favourite being soccer. I must admit I haven't been making much of an effort to play for a while now, and that's probably not a good thing.

Talking to people, strange vague interest, but I like to get to know what people really think/have to say about all sorts of things.

Cycling, reading, writing. Although, again, the frequency of doing these things is quite poor.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tool, Jazz, Daft punk, all sorts of random genres/artists/songs where I think they sound good/groovy :)

Pretty much anything by Richard Linklater (sunset trilogy, boyhood etc.)
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, list goes on.

Love in the time of cholera (Marquez), The Fountainhead (although I have a completely different take on the book, radically different from Rand's philosophy which i think can be atrocious/obscene in many respects)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pranked someone. Pretended to be a thief in a shady hoody, ran down the street after plucking his phone while he was in conversation and then turned up in the boot of the same car that he was (chasing the apparent 'thief') looking for his phone, startling him

Gosh that's probably pretty lame, but it's a difficult question .

What I Can Share with Hosts

Possibly a bit of Indian cooking, provided you've got the taste buds for it ;)

Probably a lot of rambling/random discussions on topics that can get awfully messy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Indonesia, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, India, Singapore
