I am a third year physics student from Kazakhstan. It is my second year living away from home and so far it has been an absolute rollercoaster. Within a year I got homeless, almost died in backcountry, got lost in a desert , travelled to East coast, formed a band.... Now, I am looking for even more adventures and very excited to meet more people and hear their crazy stories

I listen to absolutely different genres of music from bluegrass to rock metall. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Lumineers, Death Cab for Cutie, Vulfpeck, Lizzy McAlpine, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers (old albums)
When it comes to movies, I am a huge fan of documentaries and thrillers. Some of my favorites are shutter island and man who knew infinity.

Trip to East Coast with my best friend Bashar. What makes this trip stand out is that we did it in the middle of school year, skipping a weeek of classes before final exams. Was it worth it? Absolutely yes. Did I do well on my exams? Not necessarily. Will I do it again? Yes, because some things are more important to your soul.

I am very active and outdoorsy person! I love sports, specifically figure skating and rock climbing! Also, i have slightly above average knowledge in physics and programming, and I’d love to share it with anyone interested in these fields. Apart from that, i love experiencing and creating art in any forms. Recently, I have been into singing and song writitng as well as doing some poetry. I'd love to jam or listen to old albums or do little poetry night with my hosts.

Most importrant thing I'd love to share with my hosts is my culture. I'd love to bring my favorite kazakhstan chocolate along with some great stories about my culture and life back home. Kazakhs are very small community, so it means a lot to me to be able to share our history with people.
