I don't want to just say I've been to "X" country or city. I want to be able to say I know something about that place.

ABOUT ME

I have renewed my interest in learning about the world around me. I worked and saved to have enough money to travel again.
I have cut ties from "home" and now travel without destination or duration.
One could have worse dreams!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have no home.
So, no hosting for now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed several times. The first time was with a couple in Madison, WI, USA. I was there to compete in the IronMan Wisconsin. Great people. Great town. Made me want to offer my home to whomever may have that need.
I surfed with a lady on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, Canada. Beautiful, off the beaten track place! I will go back!!
I surfed in Pennsylvania, USA. Great conversations. Excellent hiking. I will go back!
I surfed in Hanoi Vietnam. Warm, welcoming family. I hope to be back in the next year or two.
Most recently, I stayed with a family in Koper, Slovenia. Warm and welcoming. They even took me camping at a music festival! I will return by the end of my current travels in Europe.

兴趣

Cycling. I am riding my bike through Eastern Europe beginning in June 2019.
Always in search of lesser traveled roads.
I enjoy hiking and swimming as well. The only item on my bucket list right now is to swim across the Gibraltar Strait.
I'm into Photography, Music (no instrumentation here, just karaoke), and food (ok, just chocolate...there is no need for anything other food).

I kayaked the karsts of Lan Ha Bay in Vietnam. Spent the entire day paddling, sitting in aw of the cliffs, laying on a beach that would disappear at high tide...
