About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make connections with locals wherever I travel!

ABOUT ME

Graduated from university in California, then worked as an English professor at the University of Ibn Zohr in Ouarzazate, Morocco on a Fulbright Scholarship. Recently I was a graduate student at the University of Chicago, and then studied in Madrid to get a master's at IE Business School! I just moved back to Chicago to find a job. I'm always looking to meet people from around the world. I travel every chance I get, and I think it's the most useful learning experience possible.

I study languages because every time I hear a language spoken that I don't know, I feel the need to learn it. I'm not sure why, but I do!

I'm outgoing and spontaneous and I like when the people are happy and having fun. If you don't like funny people, then you should really try to avoid me. :)

PHILOSOPHY

'Never get too comfortable'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've both hosted people and stayed with others. Traveling abroad is so much more rewarding when you can meet local people, so I hope to help people have an amazing experience in Chicago!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The people I meet are fascinating and curious people and it's a pleasure hosting everyone so far.

Interests

My greatest passion is traveling and learning languages! I can't stay in one place for too long. I love meeting new and interesting people, but I still hold on to old friendships. I like to read, mostly nonfiction. I like reflecting on life, taking risks and making mistakes but also learning from them (otherwise you're pissing people off for no reason... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies. Music too actually. And some books. Yes, I would say all three.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Never done/seen ANYTHING amazing in my life. Just kidding! I've led an extremely interesting life, lived in several countries and traveled, well, all over! Lots of good stories :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm supposed to teach something? One of the most important pieces of wisdom I've learned is this: Never give up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Due to my living situation, I may or may not be able to host
