Hello! My name is Stephen and I am planning on moving to Sofia in August to be an English Teacher for a year. I am beyond excited to do this and I hope to spend at least one year in Sofia! Hopefully when I return to the US I will go to graduate school for geography information systems (putting stuff on maps). I am a very easy going and fun loving guy who loves craft beer and adventuring!

By the way, I joined CouchSurfing back in 2010 before backpacking Europe, but didn't follow through with it and never stayed anywhere or hosted anyone (just in case you were wondering why I have been a member for so long without ever getting any reviews, etc.)

I am couchsurfing until I can find a job and residence in the city. I am planning on living in Sofia for a year or more, but I am looking for a place to "set up shop" for the first few weeks of interviews, permit applications, and, of course, a few random adventures! If you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to let me know! I am new to this thing so please let me know if you require any other info or just wanna meet up for a beer or something!

Last year I spent about a week traveling the Himalayas in Kashmir, India and almost died several times on the roadways (if you can call them that) between cities.
