I am currently living in Aberdeen but am on the verge of moving Montreal, but before I do that, I'm spending 3 months travelling with my husband around Eastern Europe and Asia :)

ABOUT ME

I'm from Wales but have lived in many different cities across Europe including London, Manchester, Lyon, Strasbourg, Prague and Brussels. As I've moved around so much I find it hard to pinpoint where home is, I guess I think of myself as European, which may seem strange for someone from the UK in the current political climate.

My main passions are: music, politics, culture, food, travelling and football. Everywhere I travel I try to learn as much as I can from locals about the local culture and politics as well as trying to fit in a concert, music festival or football match.

Bliss is matching a good beer with good conversation. I am constantly in search of great beers across the world- I lived for three years in Belgium, a beer-lover's paradise. I also enjoy a glass of good wine (I lived in France for three years) and whisky (my husband is Scottish). I also love a good cup of tea, chai and green being my favourites.

I LOVE food, I'm a vegetarian with a very curious palate, I like spices and exploring different cuisines.
I am an environmentalist and would love to know more about climate change policy in your country.
I would much rather watch a film d'auteur than a Hollywood blockbuster, although X-Men and the Wolverine films are really quite good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first Couchsurfing experience was in Strasbourg, I stayed with two great people and experienced the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard in my life! I thought it was canon fire at first (I was half asleep!!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Oscar Wilde is a genius. I could read Sherlock Holmes again and again. And Harry Potter-I have read all the books several times, both in French and in English. I dislike most big Hollywood films and will choose independent and European cinema (almost) everytime. Although there are a few Hollywood films that I secretly enjoy, like Wolverine...
