ABOUT ME

I supervise high school foreign exchange students from all over the world. I'd like the experience to see and visit some of my students in their home country. I am open minded and like to think of myself as a free thinker. I don't get caught up in politics and/or religion. I respect others, their cultures and beliefs. I am an animal lover deluxe, social, love to entertain. I also like my time to myself. I've met some wonderful people in my life. I feel at my age of a very young 55, that I've got a lot to give to others and so much of the world left to see. I want to give others the same opportunity to see my part of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to be open minded. I don't put labels on people, as then you start to be judged. I believe there is good in everyone. I look for the solutions. I believe in karma....put good karma out there and you will receive it back.

NOTE: I do have dogs who are inside/outside. They pretty much run the show here and that's how I like it. These are my children. If you don't like animals, I'm probably not a person you would enjoy. Together we are....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At this point my CouchSurfing experience has been limited to family and friends. They all know my house is open to anyone heading to Texas. We normally have warmer, wonderful winters. A nice change for those looking to get out of the snow and cold weather. The summers, however, are quite hot and humid. Everything is air conditioned in the South. This makes daily living bearable.

Interests

I have a broad arrange of interests. I love thrift shopping, decorating, animals, cooking, reading cookbooks, paranormal activity, tailgating parties, entertaining, weekend getaways with my girlfriend, finding that down time to just relax and do nothing. I do try and get the most bang for my buck. I'm somewhat of a planner, then again, plans change.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pulp Fiction, Gone With the Wind, Sideways, independent films, foreign films, mysteries, "who done it's". My taste in music is as varied as my shoe collection. I like a good beat, but I don't call rap music. It's poetry to the tune of a jackhammer. I think laughing is important and humor comes in all languages. I love history, the Discovery channel, Ghost Hunters, HGTV (Home Garden TV)

I've hosted and supervised exchange students from all parts of the globe. I love working with them, being a part of their lives and making a difference in their life decisions.
