About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Write the story of study abroad- not the handbook

ABOUT ME

I am a junior in college and a creative writing major. While abroad in Italy for the spring of 2010, my major goal was to collect enough information, mementos, tidbits and trinkets to put together a solid book about a typical student's experience on a study abroad program. I want to meet unique people, practice other languages, eat exotic food, and ultimately push the boundaries on my comfort levels. When I get back to the States, I want my efforts to be the go-to book for an inside look at what you can make your trip surmount to.

PHILOSOPHY

Be in awe of humanity
"How vain it is to sit down to write when you have not stood up to live" -Thoreau

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am ultimately trying to meet new people in a more intimate way by visiting countries and surfing the couches. Show me as much as you want or can about your city- I'd love to know all about it! When I return to school I will open up my couch for those willing to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted 4 people in my apartment in Rome, which has given me the opportunity to show them the city I have fallen in love with. We shared lots of stories and "you gotta do this's to last us all night. Great experience.
