ABOUT ME

I finished my PhD in Sociolinguistics in Edinburgh at the end of 2017 and am starting my new life as a researcher in France...it’s hard to leave Scotland after almost 5 years, but it’s wonderful to get reacquainted with France and French again! I did my MA in Lyon so my French is a bit rusty but slowly coming back, and I’m also trying to learn Occitan. When I’m not wandering around Occitania talking to people about language, I love reading, traveling, pretending to be a photographer, wine tasting, walking for hours without noticing, and eating cheese.

I've surfed couches in Arles and Avignon, both of which were absolutely splendid and unforgettable experiences!

My French rusty and my Occitan is rather terrible, but I can definitely help with English! I’m a disastrous cook but always appreciate someone willing to teach me something new. I also love travel planning and would be thrilled to help plan future adventures.
