Über mich

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to see the world before i start the rest of my career in a cubicle

ABOUT ME

I'm a very chill relaxed kind of guy. People say I am friendly, and easy to get along with. I usually walk around with a slight smile on my face, because I am generally happy and so I smile.

Part of what makes me happy is that I believe the world is a beautiful fascinating place to be. The earth's diversity of life is immense, its origin a mystery (the big bang theory may be true but where did all that initial energy come from?), its wonders infinite, whats not to love? Because I believe the world is such a wonderful place I try to participate in preserving its environment, i actively bike ride and take public transit(even though the nearest bus stop is 3 miles away and blocked by an enormous hill) and I believe people are generally good (as long as they have their basic needs met). I love physics and I find just about everything to be interesting. I am currently learning about psycho-biology, ecology and programming automated cars (yeah i know pretty unrelated), even though i am done getting my degree I don't believe learning should ever stop.

I love traveling partially because I love meeting new people from different parts of the world with different perspectives. By meeting and listening to people and hearing their story it makes it easier for me to put myself into their shoes and see and understand where they are coming from. Also everybody has something you can learn from them. Another reason i love traveling is because i love the freshness of being in a new place. The new sights, the new sounds, the feeling of being too excited to wait to see whats around the next corner, the different food, the different ways of life! Whats not to love?

PHILOSOPHY

There is no past and there is no future, we only create these ideas from the present, so smile and be present

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a friend while she was looking for a job and didn't have a place in the states to stay.

Interessen

I love just about any type of music, and am also a musician. I play guitar, piano and a little drums and I like to record songs at my cheaply made home studio. I also love art and have recently stated drawing and exploring art museums. I also like to surf, raft, windsurf, sail, ski, snow board, skateboard, mountain bike, run, and hike. I like to play basketball, tennis, racquetball, ping pong, and ultimate frisbee. However, I haven't been able to do a lot of these activities as much as I would like to lately because last year i got carpal tunnel(a wrist injury), but i keep myself busy with other activities that don't involve hands like hiking and skateboarding.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I once saw a squirrel tackle and eat a bird. Who would of thought they do that?

Surfed a 7ft wave on my 8th day of surfing. It was probably way more than I was ready for :)

Hiked on a narrow ten ft strip of land for a mile on a path that was over a thousand feet above the canyon floor of zion national park. Once there i believe i saw the most breathtaking view of the most incredible canyons and views this world has to offer.
