Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a bit. I've hosted barely at all. Mostly this is because i've spent a good amount of the last several years without my own bed (not to mention couch). And when i've been in my own house, it's been a shared one with others who are not all that into this couchsurfing business. I'm seeking to change this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed on many strangers' sofas. A few of those stays were organised through this website. They were mostly pretty pleasant. I owe a huge amount to people who put me up whilst i searched after a place to live earlier this year.

Interests

I like to hike up stuff. I like to walk around cities as well. I like to try to get to know places in as much depth as time will allow. I like to read certain sorts of literature. I like most of what Marx and Marcuse had to say; Nietzsche, Foucault, and Plato's thought has (in one way or another) played a part in forming my own. And Thomas Kuhn wrote a good book about science. I really like humans some of the time, close up and from a distance.
