ABOUT ME

We are Anny and Scott. Anny is a thoughtful, gentle, happy and generous 27 year old German girl, and Scott is an adventurous, funny and interesting 35 year old English bookworm. They have been a couple for 3 years and feel so lucky to have found each other. They share many passions and characteristics but it is their differences that describe them best: Anny always looks elegant, Scott at least tries; Anny is intuitive but Scott gets there eventually; Anny is instinctive whereas Scott is an inveterate planner; Scott would always choose to walk as opposed to Anny who'd rather catch the bus or asked to be carried; and Scott loves marmite while Anny swears by Nutella!

PHILOSOPHY

The older we both get the more we find that it's the simple truths that are the most important. Kindness, respectfulness, empathy and restraint are all virtues we aspire to, if not always practice. Neither of us are actively religious but that doesn't mean we are not a spiritual couple; often our strongest experiences whilst travelling are transcendental.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are both new to couch surfing, so have not had the chance to participate as yet. Watch this space!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have both slept on many couches in our lives, but not many in foreign lands with people we have never met before. We are excited about the possibility of having a more insightful travelling experience and making new friends. We are also looking forward to making a comparative study of the worlds couches!

兴趣

Anny loves travel, reading, long baths and eating the world's cuisines. Scott too is obsessed with novels, he also enjoys photography, the natural world and, of course, travel!

音乐、电影和书籍

Anny loves to watch Jonny Depp, listen to Interpol and to read Haruki Murakami but is currently buried nose deep in the incredible Indian epic "A Suitable Boy", by Vikram Seth. Scott enjoys movies but never seems to find the time as he's always listening to Radiohead or reading Cormac McCarthy; presently he has just started, and is already very impressed by, "A Fine Balance" from Rohinton Mistry.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

We have both been lucky enough to have experienced many incredible things in our lives, both apart and together. An experience that will stay with us both for as long as our memory's function will be looking down upon the gorgeous Ko Lipe from a cliff on Ko Adang. It wasn't so much the view (though it was stupendous), but rather the fact that we were both utterly caught in the moment, deeply aware of time's transient nature and thus our own, and determining to enjoy the experience (and others to come) to its full potential.
