About Me

Hi,
I am an Artist and Geographer. Traveling and creating things are what keeps me going. Meeting new people and learning new cultures is always fascinating and fuels my desire to keep traveling.

I mostly snowboard and paint, but I also mt. bike and like to fish and crab. I love being on the water and exploring the mountains. I am slowly learning the drums and like to play jazz/funk beats. I am pretty easy going and try to stay healthy by eating right and staying active!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because it gives you a great opportunity to meet amazing people that are more than happy to share local knowledge and hospitality that seems to becoming harder and harder to come by.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Eindhoven, Holland and hosted in Bellingham, WA. Theme of both experiences? I borrowed and lent out a bike.

I also surfed at a few spots on a bike tour along the west coast of the US and enjoyed hosts, as well as other surfers/guests!

Interests

I used to be a dirtbag climber, working and traveling season to season for optimal snowboarding and climbing opportunities. Lately I have been working more and playing less due to injury. But I am getting older and learning to take it easy! Now I go fly fishing and mushroom hunting!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy old Jazz, Blues, Funk and Soul.

A really good movie I just rewatched was, No Country for Old Men. Intense!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think it is rad how fast our technology advances while at the same time valuing vintage or traditional styles.

Teach, Learn, Share

My experiences come out when I reflect on them with others. I am better at answering questions than telling stories. The one thing I strive to learn is how to be at peace. Traveling calms and humbles my soul and it is great to share that with folks who are in the same boat.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to cook and share a meal!
