About Me

NO MESSAGES PLEASE IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED IN MEETING IN PERSON PLEASE

CURRENT MISSION

To learn, connect, build community, resist, and explore.

ABOUT ME

I practice Naturopathic Medicine in a lovely little town in Southern Ontario called Guelph. Never thought I'd stay in Ontario, but there is a lovely community vibe, great music, and delicious eats. Travel and adventure are so important to me (as is human connection), however the urge to travel has decreased now that I have found I place that I want to live. My friends describe me as a very calm and "chill" individual with a very curious side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I loved sleeping on other people's couches in Europe, where I had the opportunity to share ideas, and learn/teach certain wacky skills. My favourite cities were always the ones I couchsurfed in - I always felt a more genuine connection to the city when I was able to experience it through the eyes of someone who had an existing relationship with that place. Because of my job I am currently unable to travel like I used to and miss it, so I enjoy hanging out with a traveler from time to time. We currently have a bed available in a private room and two bathrooms - there's plenty of space in our little apartment!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of them have been awesome so far!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love international film and documentaries. My favourite movie? Volver, Little Miss Sunshine, Single Man, Blue is the Warmest Colour, Amour... that's it for now. Right now I listen to a lot of Jonsi and Alexi, Father John Misty, , Old Crow Medicine Show, Bon Iver, Shakey Graves, Richard Laviolette. A few good books I've read are On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, Seven Fallen Feathers by Tanya Talaga, and Die Wise by Stephen Jenkinson.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could show anyone how to knit/crochet, play guitar, or play some very basic accordion. I really want to learn how to speak Spanish or any other interesting skill (especially crafty ones!). Love to talk about health and justice.
