ABOUT ME

"Hi and welcome to Milwaukee!" I don't get to say that much. Milwaukee isn't on the top of the list as a tourist destination. Not yet anyway, but there is plenty to like about this city. I have lived here all my life (except 2 yrs in Madison). So have my mother and father and so did their parents. Many Milwaukee families are like that. I know the city fairly well, and love to show it off.

I keep things fresh by traveling outside Milwaukee and past Chicago at least once a year. It's not much, but my day job provides only so much vacation time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Independent of this site, I have stayed with friends in San Francisco, NYC, Minneapolis, Boulder, and Chicago. These have been very good, memorable experiences. I am conscientious about my presence in somebody's home, and tread very lightly.

Interests

Exploring new ideas, particularly business ideas. It hasn't yet yielded anything, but it's fun to talk about.
Swing dancing.
Participating in neighborhood meetings that aim to improve the area.
Public radio. Theater and dance. Architecture and history. Jazz music.
