I'm a laid-back graduate student from the north of Scotland, recently left my graduate job and now looking at my postgraduate options. And for anyone who this means anything to; (♎️A ♈️☉ ♓️☽).

I love the humanity within people and connecting with good people. Human behaviour is also actually really cute and entertaining to watch, if you observe people from a distance. Just like the behaviour of animals, observing people is like observing cute, clueless animals, somewhat short-sighted and motivated by our basic instinctual whims and needs. I'm no exception either, and my core need is to connect with good people on my travels, exchanging positive memories and interactions, leaving your spirit nourished, and leaving with my own spirit nourished (mutual nourishment). If you are a good person like me (which most people are), then I look forward to connecting with you.

Oh, by the way, for the sake of my own security and comfort, I want to pre-disclose publicly that I am gay and I am also very respectful about it and this will not be made an issue by me, so please (anyone) do not make this an issue yourself, and only if you are friendly about people's differences in general (which most people are, and I'm sure you are), then am I really happy to receive a request from you or be hosted by you. Otherwise, if there is discomfort, feel no hesitation or guilt in declining my request (we'll both feel more comfortable that way), but I hope you can be open to me as I will be to you.

It's my dream to just continue living a loved and experience-rich life, with a lot of authenticity and community spirit. I like all people until they (as individuals) give me good enough reasoning not to gel with them, which is just the simple way to be.

The pandemic has been quite isolating so I'm very keen now to start expanding my socials again and getting out there, meeting all you lovely people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here for the same reason as most people - meet new people from different cultures and places, share stories, make friends, open up opportunities, have places to stay when I go somewhere, give back to the world and to other people by hosting for people if and when and wherever I can.

(At the moment, I can't unfortunately, because I do not have my own place right now. I can't wait to get my own place and start hosting)

I've come face-to-face with some very dangerous creatures in the outback, in the middle of nowhere, in Australia, and I've survived (obviously)
