Hey there, I'm Scott; a Michigan born and raised fellow that wholeheartedly enjoys hard-cider, and intelligent conversation. By day, a tattoo artist; by night, just another restless mind with an unfulfilled wanderlust. So, I've decided to do some traveling around the states this summer. I've always had the urge to travel, and am taking the opportunity while I am still able to. I like to consider myself as friendly, respectful, and willing to try just about anything at least once.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be completely honest, I want make friends all around the world, and see humanity for what it is as a whole, not just what's in my backyard. If at all possible, I'd like to make as many positive impacts on as many others as I can along the way. My plan is by motorcycle, without any specific dates, or itinerary. I'm looking to see as much as I can for as long as I can. Having the desire to travel for a good while now, the opportunity has finally presented itself; so I intend to take it while it's available. I've pretty much made all of my necessary traveling/backpacking purchases, and plan on leaving Michigan around the beginning of May. Most of my trip will consist of taking advantage of the warm weather, and staying in my tent/hammock. However, it would be nice to occasionally have a safe/warm place to stay when coming larger cities. I'm fairly broke, and aside from friendship and free labor; I don't have much to offer. Although, I am willing to help out in just about anyway possible in exchange for either a place to stay, or just a friendship for the day. Any help, tips, or advice is greatly appreciated!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm fairly certain I've spent far too much time on movies, and it's becomes really difficult to pick a favorite when you've seen so many. As far as music goes, I really enjoy just about anything with the exception of a few individuals/genre's. The same applies for books, really. Although, I tend to usually lean toward adventurous, semi-educational and/or informative literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My mind seems sort of dried up when looking for the answer to this one; or at least as to what I would consider "amazing". In part, that's I'm planning this trip; hopefully followed by many more worldly adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to think of myself as a fairly advanced artist when it comes to drawing capability, and a mediocre guitarist; I'm sure I could show you the basics at least. Hopefully with a bit of personal experience, I could pass on a bit of traveling knowledge as well!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am capable and willing to help with any chores, work, or errands that needs to be done. I'm also a great listener, and like to think that I'm good company. So, be it physical labor, or just lending an ear to listen. I'm happy to help. Honestly, I'm just really looking to make friends from everywhere. One day, I hope to be able to pay it forward in other ways than simple friendship.
