About Me

We are a couple (Jennifer and Scott) travelling through Europe and Southeast Asia. She is a massage therapist/artist, I am a brewer/chef. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas etc. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA. We met and live in Austin, TX when I was operating a food trailer specializing in fresh juices, smoothies, falafel, fish and chips, and even crickets (the food of the future).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, make friends, get the local perspective and share our talents and experiences. We enjoy sharing these elements with people in our own home. I am more than happy to cook for our hosts.

Interests

We are travelling to share and expand our knowledge in our professions (massage, cooking, brewing, art) and to find a place to make a permanent home outside the US.

  • music festivals
  • cooking
  • music
  • massage
  • brewing

Music, Movies, and Books

Tori Amos, Black Lips, The Clash, Dance/electronic music, blues, funk, most anything really.
Before Sunrise, Wes Anderson movies, Quentin Tarantino movies, comedies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove a psychedelic school bus with a band performing in the back across the US, mainly to court my love, Jennifer.
She traveled to South Africa and toured Robin Island (guided by former inmates), where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

Teach, Learn, Share

She can teach massage techniques, networking/interpersonal connection techniques and painting.
She is very interested in learning more massage techniques, Spanish, and musical instruments.
I can teach brewing techniques, cooking, and disc golf skills.
I want to learn more about brewing, local cooking and diverse perspectives.
We'd love to ultimately find a place to put these elements together in a country outside the US.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our attitudes toward successful travel (we've visited 30+ states together so far and still get along splendidly), positivity, manifestation, cooking/cleaning/chores/organization/pet care.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Iraq, Puerto Rico, South Korea, United States
