About Me

I’m a young traveller from the UK who loves exploring new places and getting off the beaten track. I’m an open minded adventure seeker and love trying new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m looking to meet open-minded people who also love travelling. Friends I’ve met on my travels have really sold me on the idea of staying with locals as the best way to really get to know a place, and I’d love to experience it first hand. Thank you so much for your consideration! :)

Interests

Travelling is the biggest priority in my life. As Liz Gilbert says, “to me, to travel is worth any cost or sacrifice”. I travel whenever I get the opportunity to, typically during university vacations. I’m currently travelling the world for 6 months.

I love to be immersed in nature, whatever form this may take. I love nothing more than hiking a beautiful trail or chilling out on the beach feeling the warmth of the sun.

I also love cities, having studied the built and natural environment as part of my degree, and am also interested in the human side of living in a city.

I love having deep chats about life, but am just as comfortable getting to know new people over a drinking game or night out!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a broad interest in music, ranging from pop to indie to 80s classics. I don’t really have a favourite genre, just add music I love to my Spotify playlist as I go along!

I love movies that either make me laugh or that have great plot twists I’m not expecting. One of my all time favourite movies is The Birdcage.

I’m an avid reader and love both fiction and non fiction. Too much space in my backpack is devoted to books... a recent favourite is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Earlier on my trip I watched an active volcano erupt, while hiking on a neighbouring (dormant) volcano. Was seriously one of the best experiences of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to learn as much as I can about the local culture of everywhere I visit. I’d like to exchange life experiences and would be happy to help practice English too! I’m also very keen to learn the local language of places, so it would be nice if we could share some language tips :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cultural exchange and great conversation :) I pride myself on being an active listener and love having in depth chats, as well as going out for a few drinks! I also love sharing my travel stories and so if you’re looking for a bit of travel inspiration maybe we could share our wonderlust stories :)
