Overview
About Me
I am spending most of my time in a Buddhist centre in county Clare (called Sunyata) so availability to host will be unpredictible up until two or three days, maximum one week, prior to the request.
I enjoy learning new languages, hiking and exploration of the unknown. I'm pretty easy-going and I make good conversation. I'm vegetarian and I practice meditation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It brings me joy to meet people from around the world who are hospitable enough that they will take people they don't know into their homes. I prosper from being with these people who are so generous and open-hearted.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like old books that give me an idea of what it would have been like to live before my time. I also like when an author can deliver a reasonably objective analysis of the world around them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I trudged uphill through snow in the middle of Germany for two days. I was alone and had my pair of asics and camped in -10 C in a hut 800m up a mountain and I lived.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can hold conversations to varying degrees in English, German, Irish and Italian. I'm a decent cook and enjoy baking as well. I'll do my best to have an open and educated debate relating to just about anything. I can guide you a little in a method of Theravāda Buddhist meditation called Vipassanā.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring my all to my host - my knowledge and skills, my culture and my experience of the world. I will make an effort to be a part of their home, adjust to their way of life and learn from it.
