I've lived in Florida my whole life, but I take every opportunity I can to go somewhere, or to meet people from somewhere else. I always want to try new things--see new places, talk to new people, eat new food.

I get along with people of all races, religions, orientations, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to see the whole world, and meet all the people in it. So it's much better to be a guest in someone's home, to ask them about their favorite things in their city.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes are fairly eclectic--I like Metallica, and also Queen, and Cole Porter. Classic literature and Harry Potter. Miyazaki and Woody Allen and Judd Apatow.

Although I will say my favorite book is Something Happened by Joseph Heller (author of Catch-22). If you've even heard of it, please meet with me. I've been waiting ten years to talk to someone about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In college, my friend's and I went to Japan for two weeks, and slept almost every night in the streets (and at the base of Mt Fuji, before and after climbing it) because we couldn't afford hotels in the cities. I wish I'd known about couch surfing back then!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about other cultures (and languages, though I'm not always very good). I love to meet people from different places and share and compare experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not the greatest cook, but I'm happy to help. And any other household chores. I fix houses as a profession, so if you have something broken, I can probably help if you have tools.
