我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Yellowknife is home but I travel a fair amount. When I'm in town I'll do my best to accept surfers in our home or at my cabin, depending where I am staying!

Growing up in a small town in the far north of Canada my family met many people from around the world who often ended up on our couch and becoming great friends. That has stayed with me and I've really enjoyed the people who I've met through couchsurfing both as a host and a guest.

I've stayed on many couches all over the world. I'm a good houseguest, conversant, and handy in the kitchen.

兴趣

I fly my small plane around the continent whenever I have the excuse so I often end up in places off the beaten track. I enjoy anything outdoors, especially if it involves fishing.

My background is nursing and I spent the first 10 years of my career working mostly in the emergency department and in small rural communities in the Arctic. Now I work in health economics and policy improving healthcare delivery systems.

Standing on the Antarctic continent making it #7 in my travels.

Building a floating home and living off the grid for 5 years on Great Slave Lake.

I love the outdoors and fishing and I clean a fish like a pro. I'm always happy to cook together in the kitchen, or over the fire or campstove.
