About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help, to learn, to heal; in service to humanity as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I am fulfilled by being of serive in this world and I'm using my passions (language, travel, Nonviolent Communication, empathy) to guide me toward the best method possible.
My current personal mission is to find some way to apply healing to the relationship that Americans have with various Arab cultures. I'm learning Arabic and Hebrew and recently spent some time in Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Territories. I am trusting that this endeavor will lead me to my life's work.
Oh, and one other thing: I like having fun! :)
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that people hate others simply out of fear. We fear what we don't know/understand, we fear change, and we even fear allowing ourselves to open up to and connect with others. I believe that with a simple shift within ourselves to see what we all have in common, we can end hate and all wars.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted people from around the world in my home since I was a kid. It started with my family and I have carried on the tradition in my own life as an adult. My cultural curiosity is what drives me to want to constantly learn about other cultures.
I have also relied on the hospitality of others in other countries and show great respect for their living spaces while getting to know them better.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only times I've been hosted through this site was in Jordan. My hosts were incredible and taught me a lot about Amman.
Interests
I love learning languages, learning about cultures, playing tennis, hiking, roller blading, traveling, and going out.

Music, Movies, and Books
This may sound boring, but I read Foreign Policy magazine. The articles are fascinating!
I like all sorts of music but love electronic music and Indie Rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This may not seem very amazing to such an international crowd, but I spent nearly a year as a young adult living in Paris. It was one of the most enriching experiences of my life.
