About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty even-keeled, generally quiet and very interested in new things. I'm a student of geography, and my research interests focus on people and cultures. I love to meet new people, especially those from abroad, and I love to introduce people to my city and culture. I'm also very open-minded and accepting of differences.

Interests

I love the outdoors, so usually when I have free time I try to go hiking or backpacking, and along the way I always look for a river to swim in (if it's warm) or a cool place to hang my hammock and take a nap.

I also really enjoy music, so I check out live venues a lot and listen to my favorite artists (like Beach House, Deerhunter, Beach Fossils, My Bloody Valentine, in that vein).

I really like to read, and usually it's something to do with geography, current events, or baseball. I like to just take it easy and I always try to keep myself from getting bogged down with negativity.

Obviously, I'm putting my best foot forward here, but I think you'll find I have a pleasant disposition and I'm easy to coexist with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked out into the middle of the forest alone one night with some beer and a blanket, found an open spot and watched as many shooting stars as I could stay awake to see during the peak night of the Perseids meteor shower.
