ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from Montana State and spent about 6 months at a factory in North Grafton, MA. We make big airplane parts. I just accepted a position in Santa Ana, California and am so excited to be moving to the Pacific coast.
I love to travel and cook and I really enjoy the outdoors, skiing, hiking, floating, etc., especially with my best friend and fellow adventurer, Tegabelle. She's the absolute best but lives in NYC at the moment, which leaves me a bit lonely.
PHILOSOPHY
I knew a very smart grad student who said that there are people in life who are getting better at what they do and there are people who think they are ok where they are at. When you divide it up like that it's pretty easy to see which group you want to be a part of.
Always improve...a little bit...every day building on the last.
I like to think of myself as a rational skeptic, i have a very open mind, but i do need to hear a rationale logical argument to accept something as reality. This is not to avoid things, i just like to have a firm grasp on my set of accepted truths.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new here but am interested in meeting people and sharing experiences. It's a big world out there and one person can't see it all, the only way to get close is to talk to others who have seen and been where you have not!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met couchsurvers as they've stayed with friends. I've been traveling this past year with my new job but just got settled in Los Angeles, CA. Hope to be able to host people soon.
Interests
I guess I listed my interests above, but i also love music (mostly listening...very basic guitar), food and cooking, learning, discussing, and improving things.
- dining
- cooking
- traveling
- socializing
- music
- guitar
- outdoor activities
- hiking
- adventure races
- skiing
Music, Movies, and Books
I have been reading nothing but nonfiction process improvement, productivity, and manufacturing/production related books lately. They're all good, but I need to get back to some good stuff. I think I'm going to download a copy of Dan Brown's new book for the drive I have coming up.
Favorite TV:
30 Rock (best on TV right now)
Always Sunny in Phili
Sopranos
Bored to Death
Curb your Enthusiasm
Office
Community (new, but good)
The planet earth series - so good in HD
Alone in the Wild - NatGeo miniseries
Good Eats
Giadia at Home
Everyday Italian
Tons of music, mostly 90's alternative rock and newer electronic rock
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a decent cook, I'll show you how to make a pretty mean omelet if you're into that. I don't just mean a scramble either, omelets are delicate and beautiful when done right and can be terrible when done wrong.
