About Me

CURRENT MISSION

laying the foundations

ABOUT ME

I am 25 years old and I live in Denver. Used to be primarily a 'surfer, currently more of a host. I'm often busy on weekends and I work during the week, so we may have limited interaction time - especially with last-minute requests. If you're serious about making time to hang out, at least a weeks' notice is good, but if there's snow on the ground we probably have a warm place for ya to sleep. Sending a phone number is helpful for last-minute requests.

I have many interests, such as drumming, being outdoors, creating art, snowboarding, gardening & permaculture, spinning, Catan, or brewing.

I focus mainly on African drumming, although I am always down to learn new techniques or rhythms. I have a djembe and a set of djun-djuns, and I regularly attend local drum circles. My favorite outdoors stuff to do is hiking, camping, and boarding. I also like doing yard work and farming, and I currently work as a landscaper. I think that communication is the best and easiest way to spread understanding, compassion, and positivity. I thoroughly enjoy conversations that make me think about something in a new way or that challenge me to articulate my thoughts into something useful for another person.

I may not always be able to host overnight, but I will often be available to get a coffee or beer and show you some sights around town. Unless of course I'm not in my hometown, in which case maybe you'll be able to show me around!

PHILOSOPHY

"Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve."

‎"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
