Scott Pralinsky here—lover of adventure, dogs, and great conversation! You might recognize me from Gay Weddings, one of the first reality TV shows in the U.S. I joined to help normalize same-sex marriage long before the laws caught up. I live just outside of Boston with my amazing husband, Satish, and our housemate, Mike Gleason. We share our home with two incredible dogs, Kali Maya and Everest.

Before diving into the nonprofit world, I spent 13 years in the U.S. Air Force—until being gay meant I had to move on. That led to a winding career path in tech, nonprofit leadership, and disability advocacy. I’m always up for deep chats, good laughs, and making meaningful connections. Excited to be here!

I love where I live and I love to share about it. When it's possible, I like to meet up with people and help them out with their trips. And I sure hope to travel a lot over the coming years and visit my new friends!

I've had such great experiences on other people's couches before joining CS. I hope to have many more! I've hosted a few people and also really enjoyed that.

To me there is nothing better than traveling and connecting with other beautiful souls on this planet. But I also enjoy good food, going to movies, quantum physics, psychology, spirituality, dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience I've ever had was working in Romania with HIV+ orphans for a couple of months many years ago. It was both the best -- and worst -- time of my life. It totally changed me. I guess Burning Man was as equally life-altering.

La mejor experiencia que he tenido es cuando estaba trabajando en Rumanía con VIH+ huérfanos por un plazo de 2 o 3 meses hace muchos años. Era el mejor - y el peor - tiempo de mi vida. Se me cambió totalmente. Supongo que asistir Burning Man en Nevada 2 veces me cambio mucho tambien.

Teach, Learn, Share

Costa Rica is a beautiful place. But be prepared for anything. Do plan ahead, do get out of San Jose, do try and see things from an insider's view. Do try to learn a few words of Spanish before you get here. It'll help a lot. RELAX! Don't take life so seriously. Smile and share your Love with everyone!
