My name is Bernie, I'm an easy going open minded English guy now living in Sydney Australia, I'm young at heart and quite fit! have a great sense of humour and have been told officially that I'm a nice guy !

I'm a non smoker, love keeping fit, by cycling, gym,swim everyday even in winter!! etc , I live about a 15 minute walk from coogee beach which is a nice relaxed place to live!
I love the beach, but ! I'm aware of the damage the sun can do!

Have been a member of couch surfing now for I think for over 10 years, & the now defunct the Hospitality club for ten or more years ,

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

very positive, I have now been a member for almost 10 years and met fantastic , interesting and really hospitable people in all the locations I have travelled in , everyone I have met has been most hospitable,

Although this year after covid 2022, I have been very disappointed by the lack of response from members who don't even have the courtesy to send a reply, it seems the spirit of travellers & traveling seems to have dissipated and taken on something else

its not a big deal but completed the Kilimanjaro climb, everest base camp, twice & Anapurna circuit twice , also the Langtang trek, which is amazing as is the trek through the Khumbu,
many years ago hitch hiked across the sahara desert, also done machu pichu Inca trail , Torres Del Paine,

also been to 7 European cup finals as I am a mad Liverpool FC fan!! plus two FA cup finals!! was a season ticket holder many years ago!!
